GetYourGuide Review: Milan Tours and Tickets

GetYourGuide is our second partner in Milan, and it earns that place by covering the gaps. Where Tiqets has no product, a thinner listing or a higher price, this is where we send you — and in Milan those gaps are specific and easy to name.

The short version: identical prices on the Duomo di Milano, cheaper on the Cenacolo Vinciano, and the only sensible route to the Pinacoteca di Brera entry ticket, the Teatro alla Scala museum ticket and the Bergamo airport bus.

Who GetYourGuide is

Founded in 2009 and run from Berlin since 2012, GetYourGuide is a marketplace for tours, activities and attraction tickets: more than 150,000 experiences from more than 20,000 supply partners, with the site available in 37 languages. The company’s own about page blocks automated retrieval, so those figures come from its public company profile rather than from its marketing pages.

The distinction from Tiqets matters. Tiqets leans towards direct venue inventory; GetYourGuide leans towards operators. That makes it stronger on guided walks, boat trips and day tours, and it means the quality you get is the operator’s, not the platform’s.

Booking, payment and the voucher

You book a date and, where relevant, a time; the voucher lands in the app and your inbox. Most activities accept the mobile voucher — no printing.

Reserve now, pay later exists on a subset of listings: you hold the slot and are charged nearer the date. It is genuinely useful in Milan for La Scala and Last Supper dates you are not yet sure of, but it appears only where the operator allows it, so look for it at checkout rather than planning around it.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start applies to most activities, for a full refund; inside 24 hours, or for a no-show, there is no refund. The wording is repeated on each listing and on the voucher. That single line is the platform’s clearest advantage over Tiqets, where 27 of the 74 Milan products we track are non-refundable from the moment you pay.

Where GetYourGuide beats Tiqets in Milan

The Last Supper. GetYourGuide starts at €79 for a guided visit with the reserved ticket, and €89 for the higher-volume version with 3,506 reviews. Tiqets starts at €95. On the walking-tour versions the order flips — €99 on Tiqets against €104 here — so compare the exact product, not the platform.

Teatro alla Scala. A €15.96 museum-only entry ticket, against a €38 minimum on Tiqets, where every La Scala product bundles a guide. If you only want the Museo Teatrale and the box overlooking the auditorium, that is a €22 difference. See La Scala.

Lake Como and the day trips. The private-boat Lake Como, Bellagio and Lugano day trip is €69 with 10,793 reviews at 4.7 — the deepest review sample in our whole Milan data set — and the lake-cruise version is €63.50 at 4.9. Where the two platforms are identical

On the Duomo di Milano, do not overthink it. Cathedral entry €11.50, terraces only €19, both together €26, fast-track guided €39, full guided tour €69 — the same on both platforms.

The only real difference is confidence: the GetYourGuide terraces listing carries 71,830 reviews against 13,235 on Tiqets. If a large review sample helps you decide, that is a reason to book here; if you want the Duomo paired with a second attraction, Tiqets’ 5%-off bundles do not exist on GetYourGuide. What reviewers praise and complain about

On Trustpilot, GetYourGuide holds 3.9 out of 5 from 55,939 reviews, labelled Great, with 68% five-star and 19% one-star, checked September 2026.

Praise goes to the booking interface and, repeatedly, to individual guides. Complaints concentrate on the marketplace layer rather than the website: activities that did not match the description, groups larger than expected, poor coordination by the local operator, and accessibility claims not honoured on the day.

The practical lesson is to buy the listing, not the brand. Read the review count and the recent scores on the specific product, and treat anything under a few hundred reviews as unproven.

Verdict

Use GetYourGuide for the four Milan cases where it is clearly better: the Last Supper at €79, Brera entry at €22, the La Scala museum ticket at €15.96, and airport buses from €4.99. Add the Lake Como and Bernina day trips, where both price and review depth favour it.

Use it as the flexible option. If your dates could still move, the 24-hour free-cancellation default is worth more than a few euros of price difference on a non-refundable ticket.
