Tiqets Review: Milan Tickets and How the Platform Works

Tiqets is our primary booking partner for Milan, and this is the honest version of why. It is an Amsterdam ticketing platform that sells timed entry to the Duomo di Milano, the Cenacolo Vinciano, Teatro alla Scala, San Siro and around seventy other Milan products, and it is very good at one narrow thing: turning a ticket-office queue into a barcode on your phone.

Who Tiqets is

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Amsterdam, Tiqets works with more than 4,000 venue partners and reports over 50 million customers to date, according to its own about page. The website and checkout run in 18 languages.

It is a reseller, not a tour operator. Venues and local operators supply the inventory and the guides; Tiqets handles availability, payment and the ticket. So when a tour goes wrong, the guide works for the operator named on your voucher.

How a Tiqets booking works

You pick a date and, on timed products, a slot. You pay. The barcode arrives by email and in the Tiqets app within seconds. Every Milan product in our data set is flagged as instant delivery and smartphone-ready — 73 of 74 with no exception worth naming.

Open the app and load the ticket before you go. Tiqets stores tickets for offline access, which is the difference between walking through the Duomo security line and standing in it hunting for signal under 135 marble spires.

Straight entry tickets need no paper and no desk. Guided products are different: you meet a guide, and the exact meeting point is on your voucher.

What Tiqets covers in Milan

Depth on attractions, less on day tours. Tiqets’ own Milan pages listed 37 museum experiences, 36 historical and archaeological sites, 30 transfers, 22 cruises and boat tours, 14 city tours and 8 shows and theatres in September 2026.

The Duomo is where it is strongest: 16 ticket options on the cathedral’s venue page, running from an €11.50 cathedral-only entry through rooftop access at €19, the €26 entry-plus-terraces combination, fast track at €34–€39, and small-group guided tours at €48–€69.

Beyond the cathedral: seven Last Supper products from €95 to €165, four Teatro alla Scala tours from €38, the San Siro stadium tour at €39, Castello Sforzesco at €20, city passes at €46.50–€99, and day trips to Lake Como, the Bernina Express, Verona and Cinque Terre from €69 to €179. The “Duomo + X” bundles

Tiqets pre-builds eight pairings of the Duomo di Milano with a second attraction and marks them -5% on the venue page: the Last Supper, Teatro alla Scala, San Siro, Leonardo3, the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, the hop-on hop-off bus, Museo del Novecento, and Villa Necchi Campiglio.

Treat 5% as a rounding error rather than a reason to buy. On a €45 pair it is roughly €2. It is worth taking when you were going to visit both anyway — and worth ignoring when the bundle pushes you into an attraction you do not care about. Cancellation: read this line before you pay

This is where Tiqets divides sharply, and the platform does state the terms on each product page. Across the 74 Milan products we track, four tiers exist.

Two consequences follow. First, the two most-booked Duomo tickets are the inflexible ones, while rooftop-only and fast-track cancel free — so if your dates might move, the €19 terraces ticket is the safer buy. Second, on the Last Supper the €4 gap between the two guided visits is irrelevant next to the policy: both are non-refundable, while the €99 walking-tour version cancels free up to 24 hours before the slot. Languages, access and support

Guiding is English-first: of the Milan guided products, 31 run in English, 11 in Italian, 9 in Spanish, 3 in French, 2 in German and 1 in Chinese. Audio guides span 11 languages. Wheelchair access is flagged on 39 of the 74 Milan products, including the Duomo rooftop lift tickets — but not the €26 stairs-or-lift combination.

Support runs on three channels — live chat, email and WhatsApp — with no public phone line. The team is staffed 24/7 in English; other languages are not guaranteed round the clock, and chat covers them by automatic translation. With a timed Duomo slot, chat is the only channel quick enough to matter.

What reviewers praise and complain about

On Trustpilot, Tiqets holds 4.3 out of 5 from 60,729 reviews, labelled Excellent, with 75% five-star and 7% one-star, checked September 2026.

Praise clusters on the mechanics: buying is quick, the barcode works, entry is straightforward. Complaints cluster on two things — reviewers who found the same ticket cheaper on an official site and felt the markup was not clear enough, and slow or absent replies when something went wrong. Both are worth taking seriously, and both are avoidable: check the official price on our Duomo tickets page before you buy, and never book a non-refundable product on dates you are not sure of.

Verdict

Use Tiqets for Milan attraction entry. It has the deepest Duomo inventory of any platform we compare, the ticket delivery is genuinely frictionless, and the timed slots are real rather than a queue-jumping promise. It is the default on this site for good reason.

Do not use it blind. Check the cancellation line, compare the Last Supper against GetYourGuide where the same visit starts at €79, and go to Vivaticket first if you can plan the Cenacolo three months out. For plain Pinacoteca di Brera entry, Tiqets has no product at all.

Book the Duomo slot first — it anchors the rest of the day — and add a second attraction only if you actually want it.
